Learn how to lower the library’s electric bill and at the same time reduce its carbon footprint by utilizing thin clients in place of desktop PCs. Come hear how the Health Sciences Library at Stony Brook University has utilized server virtualization technology to reduce energy consumption, reduce their number of servers and over time lower their TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Both presenters will discuss how they use thin clients in their libraries. Target audiences include library administrators and managers, librarians and library IT staff.
