LILRC Annual Conference Final Speaker Sneak Peek: Christian Zabriskie

With only 4 days and counting to take advantage of early bird rates for this year’s LILRC 23rd Annual Conference on Libraries and the Future, here’s another look at our final guest speaker for Friday’s event.

CZheadshotChristian Zabriskie, founder and Executive Director of Urban Librarians Unite, will be presenting:

Street Librarianship: Going Where Your Users Aren’t

Urban Librarians Unite has been doing creative advocacy and active outreach for libraries in New York City. They have developed their own brand of “narrative advocacy” where they “lean in to the controlled crazy” for five years of budget battles. Hear about how they create dynamic library activism as well as doing direct community outreach via street librarianship.
